Additionally, villagers may request a new villager be added, but they must be approved by the host of the village before joining the village.
To invite a villager, the host:
- Select the village name in the top left corner and then the gear icon to go to Manage Village.
- Go to Invite Villager and add the new villager's name and email address. Click Continue.
- Review and complete the consent form and select Next.
- Sign electronically and click Submit.
The invited villager will receive a Welcome email from Meerkat Village and instructions on downloading the app and joining the village.
Members of your village can request that you add a villager.
To approve a requested villager, the host:
- Select the village name in the top left corner and then the gear icon to go to Manage Village.
- Go to Village Members and select Pending Members.
- Proceed with the consent form and signature. Click Submit.
As a host, you can remove a villager who is no longer involved in the child's care. Villagers who are removed from the village no longer have access to the village and receive an email letting them know their access to the village is no longer active.
To revoke a villager's access, the host:
- Select the village name in the top left corner and then the gear icon to go to Manage Village.
- Go to Village Members and select Active Members.
- Select the villager and click Remove.
Hosts are typically a child’s parent or guardian.
